Partners in Ministry’s associated pregnancy care centers affirm and practice the following:
♦ The pregnancy care center is an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ through His Church. Therefore, the volunteers in the PCC are committed to presenting the Gospel to clients, both in word and deed. All PCC board members, directors, staff and volunteers shall be those who know Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
♦ Human life is sacred from the moment of fertilization throughout the life continuum.
♦ Abortion on demand is an unjustifiable taking of a human life; therefore associates of Partners in Ministry will never provide or refer, approve or advise any woman’s abortion, regardless of the circumstances of conception (including rape and incest), fetal anomaly, or threat to the mother’s health. Furthermore, the PCC never advises, provides, or refers clients for abortifacient pharmaceuticals or devices.
♦ The PCC is committed to providing a high quality of care for its clients by offering accurate and complete information about prenatal development, pregnancy, abortion procedures and risks, and lifestyle issues.
♦ The PCC is committed to assisting women in carrying their pregnancies to term by providing emotional support and practical assistance. The PCC seeks to bring the resources of local churches and the community to bear upon the needs of clients.
♦ The PCC never discriminates in providing services because of a client’s race, creed, color, national origin, age, or marital status.
♦ The PCC offers assistance free of charge at all times.
♦ The PCC is committed to creating awareness within the local community of the needs of pregnant women, and that abortion does not resolve human need but only compounds and complicates it.
♦ Adoption is recognized as one viable alternative to abortion. Agencies which provide assistance in placing children for adoption are to be commended, and Partners in Ministry and its associates will work cooperatively with such agencies whenever possible. However, the PCC is not biased in favor of, or in opposition to, adoption. The PCC will remain independent of adoption agencies, relating to them in the same manner as to other referral agencies. The PCC will receive no payment from adoption agencies, will not enter into contractual relationships with them, nor be established under the auspices of such agencies.
♦ The PCC is committed to honesty, integrity, and accuracy in all its communication. The center will not be deceptive in advertising, promoting, and describing its services.
♦ Clients of the PCC will be treated with kindness and compassion. They will always receive honest and open answers.
♦ Clients’ pregnancy tests will be distributed and administered in accordance with all applicable laws.
♦ Client information will be held in strict and absolute confidence, and only disclosed as required by law when necessary to protect the client or others against imminent harm.
♦ The PCC does not recommend, provide, or refer single women for contraceptives. (Married women seeking contraceptive information should be urged to seek counsel, along with their husbands, from their pastor and physician.)
♦ All PCC staff and volunteers will receive proper training to uphold these standards.
